As well as compiling information on new religious movements in the world, Irving Hexham edits a series of traveller's guides for Christians, that fill a niche in the travel guide genre. They lead visitors to the various Christian heritage sites in each country. Hexham uses his knowledge of history and religion to provide an overview of the history of each country from prehistoric times to the present, the literature, art, and architecture, and lists what he considers the top ten Christian heritage sites in the country. He includes biographies of significant people associated with each site.
